Captured live at Jam Cafe in Bangkok, Thailand, shortly before it had to stop presenting live music, Moore / Yong / Bates are joined by Yuji Ishihara on this energetic set.

Darren Moore and Yuji Ishihara were positioned on the venue floor, both playing snare drum and cymbals, while Yong Yandsen (tenor sax) and Richard Allan Bates (electric upright bass) were behind them on stage. This resulted in a welcome impact on the sound of the recording, with the snare and cymbals forward dictating the direction of the music for the audience, the sax and bass were pushing the percussionists from behind, augmenting and colouring their percussion textures.

We hope Jam is permitted to resume its live music series as it's been an open minded and supportive venue for the Bangkok music scene. Thankfully, it still operates as a bar, serving cold drinks and spinning awesome music.
